Enthusiasts Day Saturday 23rd March 2019  (9am-4pm)

The Enthusiasts day is an opportunity for all keen Narrow Gauge Railway Photographers and Railway minded people to take a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the Statfold Barn Railway and the way it works.

The Engineering shop and Running Shed are open for all to view. The Engines run all day pulling coaches full of enthusiasts. Approx. 18 Engines run per day providing a regular train service from the main Station, Statfold Junction through to Oaktree Halt , around the loop and back through Oaktree to the Junction. The passengers can alight at Oaktree to visit the Narrow gauge Trust Museum to ‘take in’ not only the Static displays of locomotives but view the Round House , where the days non-working loco’s are on view, but also to see various Railway artefacts.

The visitors can see and ride on the renovated Burton and Ashby Tram which runs from its own dedicated Tram Shed down to Oaktree and back.

There are displays of model railways in various gauges which show the expertise of the railway modeller.

Altogether, a great day out for the Enthusiast.
